Treasure Cars in Forza Horizon 6 are the kind of finds you bump into because you're nosing around, not because the game has drawn a big circle on the map. You can start hunting them as soon as free roam opens up, so there's no need to grind a discovery level first. The basic loop is simple: get close to a hidden car, wait for Mei to mention a rumour over the radio, then follow the prompt when you reach it. A short scene plays, and after that the car is yours to drive or send to storage.
How the treasure system actually feels
These aren't Barn Finds with long waiting times, and they're not checklist collectibles either. Each of the nine regions has one Treasure Car, so the search feels tidy without being too obvious. There are no starting map icons unless you buy the optional Treasure Map, which gives away the locations straight away. If you'd rather find them properly, drone mode helps a lot. Tap down on the D-pad, then up, and use it to scan tree lines, mountain roads, car parks, rail bridges, and odd little side paths. You'll miss a few if you only stick to the main roads.
City, coast, and roadside finds
The 1991 Nissan Figaro sits in Tokyo City, down on the southern shoreline. Use the western city bridge that leads towards the Drift Club island as your anchor, then cruise east along the coast until you spot a small parking area. The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is easier. Head to the Minamino golf course and look behind the 365 store near the clubhouse entrance. In Shimanoyama, the 1987 Porsche 959 is parked outside the 365 convenience store at Narai-Juku, northwest of the stadium. The 2005 Ford GT in Nangan is sneakier. Go to the far southeast coast and watch for a narrow trail near a yellow roadside sign, leading out towards an overlook facing Tokyo.
Mountain routes and awkward landmarks
The 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE can be annoying because Ohtani has several tower groups that look similar at a glance. You want the cluster near the western edge by Shimanoyama, with three red towers, one larger white tower, and a wooden house nearby. Check the southeast side of that setup. The 1985 Nissan Safari Turbo is up in northeast Ito, near the wind farm. Climb the dirt route past the Toyota 2000GT Barn Find area and look near a turbine base, a little southwest of the drift zone. Over in Takashiro, the 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR is tucked along the waterfall route beyond a torii gate, close to the Temple Run-Up speed zone.
Last checks before you call the hunt done
Two cars are easy to overlook because their areas blend into the scenery. The 1981 BMW M1 in Hokubu uses the railway as your best guide. Follow the northern line towards open farmland near the Takashiro border, around the flower fields and Ascent street race area. The 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale waits in snowy Sotoyama, along the Tateyama Alpine mountain pass. Start near Hakusan Mountain Lodge and head west until a large roadside lodge appears on the right.
